Better Golf Swing The Secret is Thinking Less

Any golfer that’s been playing the game for a while should understand that the secret to having a great game and score is the swing. When a newbie starts out to learn the game of golf what they should be concentrating on is learning a better golf swing, without a doubt first comes then swing then will come the score. Making you a better golfer in the long run. Instead most beginner golfers worry about learning how to hit the ball 250 yards every time off the tee.

When starting out the mechanics taking place during your golf swing should be the initial skill learned. While it’s the first thing to think about when learning you should make it the last thing you’re thinking about while playing a round on the course. To develop a better golf swing you need to make each step part of your sub conscious. Something that just occurs when you swing, once you learn a new motion from practice you’re able to just commit it to habit.

Being conscious of each step you learn to develop a better golf swing should take place at the driving range, and practice facilities, how ever not while you’re playing a game. When you’re preparing yourself for your next shot on the golf course the only thing you should be thinking about is where you want that ball to land.

Techniques

Choose a spot either in the fairway or on the green where you want to land the ball. Now concentrate on hitting the ball and landing it right in that spot. Don’t worry about how you’re swinging the club, or anything else. This forces you to look and think ahead, and not over thing your swing.

Of course like everything in golf this sounds a heck of a lot easier then it really is. Any person who has attempted to not think about their swing will tell you that it takes some serious practice to let go and train your mind to think about the shot rather then the swing

Few beginner or advanced golfers can effectively keep their minds off the swing. They are continually thinking about the steps to create a better golf swing, and not relaxing. Not relaxing or concentrating on where you want the ball to go will decrease your chances of making a good shot every time.

Practice makes perfect that’s for sure, so this new concept of target golf will take some getting used to. Ideally give it some practice at the driving range and practice greens before you try to change the entire way you play a round of golf. I’m confident that you’ll have a better golf swing if you give this technique a half a chance, and it will give you a better swing when it counts in those crunch shots that make the difference in your score.
