Correct a Golf Slice
If you’re one of the thousands of golfers that suffers from a golf swing slice, you’re not alone. Actually I’m right there with you. I had such a horrible slice I honestly wouldn’t use my woods off the tee when I was playing with customers. Although I found a solution that’s showing me how to correct a golf slice and develop and improving golf swing. I’m hitting more accurate and longer then I ever did with my slice and it’s all thanks to learning how to hit a draw.
Cure your golf slice
It’s not an over night fix in my opinion trying to correct a golf slice. Most of us that struggle with a slice have at some point in time managed to have a good round or two only to have that horrid slice return a couple of games later. Or maybe you’re like me and when you’re taking your time at the range all balls seem to go straight, but then everything goes to hell on the course.
In order to fix your golf slice you need to take one of these two golf slice cures.
- Learn how to correct a golf slice by improving your swing and correcting the issues causing you to slice
- Learn how to hit a draw which will in turn cure a golf slice.
The first option is viable, and will actually have a greater impact on your over all game. A correcting golf slice through a more consistent swing also means you’ll become strong with your longer and shorter irons as well. If this is the angle you’d like to take I recommend you either sign up for some lessons at your local course or practice facility, or purchase a solid golf swing instructional system. You can spend a lot of time reading golf slice tips, but the fact is unless you hit on the exact issue that is causing you to slice it could be a long time before you experience a curing golf slice.
The second option I mention is what I’ve been working on this season. It’s a golf slice cure that basically replaces your swing with that of a draw there by correcting your golf slice. Again there are two options to do this, the first is the same as above, get out and sign up for some lessons from a local instructor. How ever for me this just wasn’t time efficient. I like to spend my free time on the course when I can so I purchased a DVD system that taught me how to hit a draw shot.
The DVD I purchased was from Pure Point Golf Academy, each of their DVD’s is instructed by their head professional Bobby Eldridge, and he does an excellent job. Bobby goes through how to hit a draw from grip to follow through. Everything you need to learn how to correct a golf slice all chalked into one DVD. Now I don’t pretend to be a pro so I’m going to give you the link to Pure Points ‘Hitting a Draw’ DVD where Bobby explains it much better, but trust me if you’ve been reading golf slice tips on different sites looking for that one tip that will fix your golf slice save the rest of our time and invest a few bucks in this DVD. It will increase your confidence and lower your score like nothing you’ve done before.
If you’re not sure about purchasing a golf instructional DVD we do have something else you might want to check out. Our site also offers a free video golf tips newsletter.
